UC-Davis holds on for 30-13 win over Idaho State

DAVIS, Calif. (AP) — Randy Wright threw for 201 yards and Gabe Manzanares rushed for a career-high 208 yards to lead UC-Davis to it’s first win of the season, a 30-13 Big Sky Conference victory over Idaho State Saturday night.

Brady Stuart had field goals of 34, 36 and 20 yards to give UC-Davis (1-4, 1-0 Big Sky) the early lead.

The Aggies had to hold on for the win as Justin Arias, who threw for 214 yards, led Idaho State (2-2, 0-1) back in the fourth quarter. The Bengals, trailing 16-0 as the final quarter began, scored 13 unanswered points. Arias completed a touchdown pass to Luke Austin and Brendon Garcia added two 24-yard field goals to make the score 16-13 with over seven minutes remaining.

Wright then led the Aggies 74 yards in seven plays, culminating with an 8-yard scoring pass to Dalton Turay to extend the lead to 23-13.
