Vancouver police are investigating early-morning burglaries at two Mill Plain Boulevard convenience stores that they say appear to have been carried out by the same person.

The two burglaries, one occurring early Sunday and the other early Monday morning, were reported between the 8000 block and the 9700 block of Mill Plain Boulevard, according to Vancouver police.

In both cases, a white male in his late teens or early 20s wearing jeans and a gray jacket broke a glass door with a brick and entered the store to steal cigarettes, police said.

Investigators said the location, time of day, method of operation and video surveillance suggest the same person is involved in both incidents.

Anyone with information about the burglaries is asked to call the Vancouver Police Department at 360-487-7399.
