Dave Becker’s April 23 letter, “We’re powerless against bully tactic,” castigating the Affordable Care Act, is indeed an excellent example proving the need for national single-payer coverage such as Medicare/Medicaid. He errs only in his target. He/they ignore the greed of the health insurance businesses no longer being able to cherry-pick their customers and now restricting their business to the totally healthy.
An analysis of the gross revenues of the health business would disclose that these funds would be more than adequate to cover the health care expenses, as well as the training of affected line personnel.
