AAA: Average price of gas in Washington falls to $2.98

The AAA auto club says the average price of gasoline in Washington has fallen below $3 a gallon — to $2.98.

That’s down 8 cents in a week and 13 cents in a month, but it’s 31 cents higher than the national average. In Vancouver the average is $2.91

Some metro prices from the AAA’s Monday survey: Bellingham $3.01, Bremerton $2.91, Seattle-Bellevue-Everett $3.06, Tacoma $2.97, Olympia $2.99, Yakima $2.92, Tri-Cities $2.89, Spokane $2.82. The average price in Oregon has fallen to $2.93, also down 8 cents for the week and 15 cents in a month.
