Vancouver — Vancouver will fund four more road safety projects as its Neighborhood Traffic Calming Program moves into another year after being revitalized in 2013. The city’s Neighborhood Traffic Safety Alliance helped identify four traffic calming projects to be completed in 2015 after proposals were pitched by neighborhood associations this year. Projects expected to begin next year are:

• Carter Park: Pedestrian crosswalks at the intersections of West 27th and 29th streets and Columbia Street, as well as street tree planting along Columbia Street between West Fourth Plain Boulevard and 33rd Street. The project cost is estimated at $39,000.

• Lewis and Clark Woods: Speed cushions installed along Southeast Talton Avenue between 19th and Angus streets. The project cost is estimated at $63,000.

• Bagley Downs: Speed cushions installed along General Anderson Avenue between Northeast Fourth Plain Road and Plomondon Street. The project cost is estimated at $24,000.

• Hudson’s Bay: Pedestrian crosswalks and speed cushions will be placed along East Fifth Street between Reserve Street and Grand Boulevard. The project cost is estimated at $62,000.
