Tacoma transient believed drowned at Leavenworth

LEAVENWORTH — The Chelan County sheriff’s office has identified the shoplifting suspect presumed drowned at Leavenworth as a 28-year-old transient from Tacoma, Alen Bolic.

He was suspected of taking two liquor bottles from a grocery store Friday and jumped into the Wenatchee River to get away from deputies. Searchers have been unable to find him.
