A missing toddler was found safe late Tuesday night in a Vancouver home thanks to a concerned resident, Vancouver police said.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office reported Tuesday afternoon that 16-month-old Ella Jean Perigo was missing, and law enforcement officials were concerned about the child’s well-being. The toddler was believed to be in the company of her parents, Charles M. Olson-Perigo, 28, and Heidi Wilson, 31, but because of their previous homelessness and past inability to meet the child’s basic needs, all three were listed as missing persons and law enforcement asked for the public’s help in locating them.

Late Tuesday, Vancouver police recovered the child after anonymous tips from concerned residents led them to a single-family residence in the 1900 block of East 29th Street.

Police say there have been no arrests made in relation to thecase, but the investigation is ongoing.

Police did not release any further information about the case.
