Stabbing, robbery reported in Vancouver’s VanMall neighborhood

Suspect flees Jaggy Road Park

A stabbing and robbery was reported Wednesday afternoon in Vancouver’s VanMall neighborhood.

The incident was called into 911 around 3:15 p.m. inside Jaggy Road Park, 4500 N.E. 72nd Ave. Jaggy Road Park is situated among several apartment complexes.

The suspect was described as a man in his early 20s, clean-shaven, wearing a blue shirt, jeans and white shoes, according to radio traffic monitored by The Columbian. He was seen carrying a folding knife and $10.

Vancouver police did not release additional information about the robbery. It’s unknown whether they found a suspect.
