Nominees for high school winter sports athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Feb. 15. Voting will conclude at 8 p.m. Thursday with results published in Friday’s Columbian.

JOCELYN ADAMS, SKYVIEW GIRLS BASKETBALL: Adams scored 15 points in the Storm’s district title win and another 14 points in their regional-clinching win in the bi-district tournament.

ALEX BERFANGER, UNION BOYS WRESTLING: Berfanger, ranked No. 1 in the state at 170 pounds, won the regional title at 170 pounds, earning the title with a forfeit win over teammate Javier Martinez in the final.

ROBERT FRANKS, EVERGREEN BOYS BASKETBALL: Franks averaged 20 points a game over three playoff games, but none more important than the improbable over-his-head shot that earned him a spot on ESPN.

ERIN LOCKE, WASHOUGAL GIRLS WRESTLING: Locke won the 137-pound division at the regional in Hoquiam helping Washougal earn the team title.

NICOLE MOSS, HERITAGE GYMNASTICS: Moss won the district all-around title with a 37.25, winning on bars, beam and floor in the process. Then she earned berth to state in the all-around at the regional meet.
