The Battle Ground and Lewis River Rotary clubs will host a large gala in May to benefit students and charities in north Clark County.

The groups decided to band together this year to present their annual dinner fundraisers, set for May 10 at the Heathman Lodge, 7801 N.E. Greenwood Drive, Vancouver. It begins at 5:30 p.m. and includes both silent and oral auctions. You can buy tickets in advance for $75 at http://www.lewisriver.rotaryclub.pro.

A bulk of proceeds from the event will go to providing scholarships for area high school students. The Rotary clubs also help support local charities including the North County Community Food Bank, Coats for Kids and Neighbors Helping Neighbors.
