Vancouver’s Downtown Association has received a new round of funding to continue its focus on bringing visitors and business into the city center.

The downtown group announced this month that its work to market the area and improve its appearance got a $133,333 boost in funding, contributed by 15 businesses as part of the Main Street Tax Credit Incentive, a state program to help economically depressed downtown areas.

Donor businesses in turn can claim a 75 percent refund of their contribution to apply as credit to their Washington state Business & Occupation tax obligations.

Contributing businesses are Albina Fuel, Bader Beer and Wine Supply, Hi-School Pharmacy, Johnson Bixby & Associates LLC, Davidson and Associates, Schwabe Williamson and Wyatt, The Al Angelo Co., Pacific Continental Bank, Heritage Bank, Horenstein Law Group LLC, Scott Horenstein Law, Corwin Beverage Co., Columbia Machine, The Mekos Corp. and Sales Solutions Inc.
