MILWAUKEE (AP) — The Milwaukee Brewers have signed free agent left-hander Zach Duke to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

The 30-year-old Texas native was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 20th round of the 2001 amateur draft.

Duke spent six years in Pittsburgh and also had stints with Arizona, Washington and Cincinnati. The Reds chose not to make a qualifying offer to the reliever after last season.

Duke is 50-76 in his nine-year career with a 4.57 ERA.
