Sportsmen’s Show opens Feb. 5

PORTLAND — More than 800 exhibitors will show their wares Feb. 5 though 9 at Portland Expo Center in the annual Pacific Northwest Sportsmen’s Show.

Show hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Feb. 5 through 7, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Feb. 8 and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Feb. 9. The center is at 2060 N. Marine Drive.

Admission costs $12 for adults and $5 for juniors ages 6 to 16. A $1 additional fee is charged per credit card transaction.

Discount coupons saving $2 are available at Baxter Auto Supply, Les Schwab and Bi-Mart stores, or can be downloaded at www.thesportshows.com. Fred Meyer Reward Cards save $2 on weekday admissions and $1 on weekends.

Paring at the Expo Center is $8. Carpools of three or more riders can park for $7. Off-site parking at Portland International Raceway and Portland Meadows costs $6 with a free shuttle to the Expo Center.

The will include a free trout-fishing pond for youth, free seminars about hunting and fishing from outdoor experts plus booths from a wide variety of outfitters, guides, equipment manufacturers, retailers and others.

Dozens of sport-fishing boats will be on display. There will be casting competition plus sportsmen can bring in their trophies to be scored by Boone & Crockett or Pope & Young scorers.
