CANYONVILLE, Ore. (AP) — Douglas County deputies are looking for a man driving a red car with a skull painted on the hood in a shooting in the Southern Oregon town of Canyonville.

Deputies say the victim identified the gunman as 39-year-old David A. Baumgaertel, who recently moved to Myrtle Creek from California. He has a teardrop tattoo on his cheek, a bald head, and other tattoos on his forehead and neck. He was last seen driving a 2001 red Honda Civic with a black hood with a skull on it.

Deputies say they found the victim, a 23-year-old man from Canyonville, sitting in his car, which had three bullet holes in it. The victim had an injury to his face. He was not named.
