Clark Public Utilities announced Wednesday that a global market research company has recognized it for ranking highest in customer satisfaction among midsize electricity providers in the western U.S.

It’s the eighth consecutive year that J.D. Power has given such recognition to the utility. The recognition is based on a study designed and financed by J.D. Power that measures customer satisfaction by examining key factors, including power quality and reliability, price, billing and payment, and corporate citizenship.

In nearly all of these and other categories, customers gave the utility the highest score in the midsize segment, the utility said in a news release. The utility is customer-owned, providing electricity to more than 189,000 customers in Clark County.
