Volcanoes fall to Portland

The Vancouver Volcanoes came up short of a second win on back-to-back nights, losing at Portland 136-131 on Sunday in International Basketball League action.

Vancouver (6-4) ended a three-game losing streak on Saturday with a 131-128 win over the Seattle Flight.

Portland (7-2) has won two of the first three meetings with the Volcanoes with two more to play against Vancouver.

Individual scoring from Sunday’s game was not reported.

Vancouver next plays three game in three days. It is at Salem on Friday, hosts Santa Barbara on Saturday, and then hosts Portland next Sunday.
