Monday’s shooting at a North Image house is being investigated as a domestic violence murder-suicide, according to Cmdr. Dave King.

Vancouver police haven’t released any more information on the circumstances of the early-morning shooting or what led up to it. Autopsy reports are still underway and the investigation is ongoing, King said.

Danny and Sandra Luster, both 49, were found dead at about 5:30 a.m. Monday in their house at 13007 N.E. 52nd St. in the North Image neighborhood. Neighbors had called 911 after hearing yelling and shots fired at the home.

The couple’s son, Matt Luster, 23, suffered a gunshot wound and was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. He remains in critical condition in the hospital’s intensive care unit.

The family’s dog also was found dead.

Neither Danny nor Sandra Luster had a criminal record in Washington, according to court records.
