A Vancouver man was hospitalized after the tractor-trailer he was driving tipped over on state Highway 14 on Monday afternoon on the city’s west side.

Luis Juarez-Chavez, 54, took the onramp to state Highway 14 eastbound from Columbia House Boulevard. The tractor-trailer came around the curve too fast, shifting the load, which caused the vehicle to tip over, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Juarez-Chavez was transported to the emergency room at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center and later discharged.

He was cited by WSP for driving too fast.
