WOODLAND — Woodland Middle School and Woodland High School are among 23 state schools that earned the Career Guidance Award of Excellence for work in their college and career readiness programs, the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction announced.

This year’s winners use OSPI’s Career Guidance Washington life-planning lessons and activities. In this model, teachers advise every student in making clear plans for life after high school. These schools increased their graduation rates and academic rigor.
