Clark County seeks proposals for motor vehicle license contract

Citizens may submit business proposals for a contract to license motor vehicles and boats in east Clark County to the County Auditor’s office. Business proposals are due no later than June 13, the auditor said in a news release on Monday.

There are nine subagents in Clark County who provide such services as preparing ownership titles, processing annual licensing and renewals, and preparing and processing registration documents.

A panel that will include Auditor Greg Kimsey will review proposals and recommend one to the state Department of Licensing to be a sub-agent in Camas or Washougal. The state must then appoint the subagent to contract with the Clark County Auditor. Detailed application packets are online at www.clark.wa.gov/auditor/auto/index.html. Packets also are available at Clark County Auto License Department, 1408 Franklin St., Vancouver.
