Herrera Beutler to host jobs fair, job-hunting workshop

U.S. Rep Jaime Herrera Beutler will host two free events in Vancouver this month geared toward connecting Southwest Washington residents with jobs. The first event, a workshop, will provide résumé and job-hunting tips.

It’s scheduled from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday in the Columbia Room at the Vancouver Community Library, 901 C St. It will feature representatives from WorkSource and local human resource experts, along with a panel discussion on resume building and one-on-one counseling. The second event, the Southwest Washington Jobs Fair. will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. May 14 at the Red Lion Hotel Vancouver at the Quay, 100 Columbia St. It will include employers from a variety of industries seeking qualified candidates.
