Volcanoes fall to Bellingham, 134-122

Defending International Basketball League champ Bellingham Slam won its fifth game in a row, defeating the Vancouver Volcanoes 134-122 on Saturday at the O’Connell Center.

Bellingham (6-2) has won five straight while the Volcanoes (5-2) have lost two in a row.

Vancouver’s Andre Murray led all scorers with 34 points and also had nine rebounds. Calvin Hampton added 29 points and nine rebounds, and Dan Feest had 17 points.

Jacob Stevenson led Bellingham with 30 points.

The two teams change venues on Monday as the Volcanoes visit Bellingham at Whatcom Pavilion.
