Vancouver residents continue to enjoy fast-falling gasoline prices, with the price of regular unleaded down to $3.09 per gallon, down from $3.16 a week ago and $3.62 just a month ago, according to AAA Oregon/Idaho.

The statewide average in Washington is $3.15 per gallon, an eight-cent drop for the week. Washington’s average price remains the 12th-highest in the nation. Oregon’s average price is $3.12, down nine cents for the week. That’s the nation’s third-largest drop, and it leaves Oregon with the nation’s 17th-highest average gasoline price.

The national average for regular dropped six cents this week to $2.97 a gallon, the lowest since December 2010. AAA predicts gas prices could fall another 5 to 15 cents in the coming weeks, making for the cheapest Thanksgiving gas in half a decade.
