The Washington State Patrol is holding a practice physical agility exam for trooper candidates at 9 a.m. Saturday at its Vancouver headquarters, 11018 NE 51st St. The test includes a one-minute sit-up test, one minute push-up test and a 1.5 mile run. The agency hopes the mock test will ease nerves and allow applicants to gauge what they need to work on before taking the real test. Those wishing to attend Saturday need to register by contacting Trooper Bennie Taylor at 360-852-1948 or bennie.taylor@wsp.wa.gov.

The next actual exam will be Saturday, Nov. 15, at the same place; it includes both the physical and written exams. Applicants must register for testing online at wsp.wa.gov/employment/cadet_testing.htm.
