Society of Washington Artists show their stuff at fall exhibit, sale

Felida — Local artists were celebrated at the annual Society of Washington Artists Fall Exhibit and Sale last month at the H.H. Hall Building. Society members of all ages and skill levels submitted pieces for the show, which included a variety of art styles. Winners included:

• Best of Show: Julie Olsen, “Phantom” (pastel).

• People’s Choice: Carol Lytle, “Cocoa” (watercolor).

• Bobbie Meyers Memorial Award: Julie Olsen, “Bugle Boy” (pastel).

• First Place: Barbara Wilkinson, “Annie” (watercolor).

• Second Place: Khanh N. Huynh, “Still Life with Red Vase” (oil).

• Third Place: Lynda Raven, “Brake for Messenger III” (watercolor).
