Letter: Distraction unsafe

The Columbian
Published: October 19, 2014, 5:00pm

On Oct. 13, at the corner of Mill Plain Boulevard and 164th Avenue, a group of people were waving signs suggesting that we vote for Chuck Atkins for Clark County sheriff.

I’m not able to judge the qualifications of Atkins for that job, but I am able to say this without serious risk of contradiction: No qualified law enforcement officer would advocate this intentional effort to distract drivers.
