Letter: Winningham’s abilities are effective

The Columbian
Published: October 26, 2014, 12:00am

On Election Day, I’m firing Liz Pike as my representative and voting for Maureen Winningham. Professional politicians like Pike are not being effective in Olympia to better public education and champion our public employees.

Winningham is proudly endorsed by the Washington Education Association and her endorsements are far more extensive than Pike’s, proving Winningham’s ability to build relationships and value public education and the professionals teaching our future leaders. Pike has voted against education funding bills and doesn’t value teachers as the professionals they are, but instead has slammed teachers on Facebook saying they should find a different job if they were unhappy with the pay.

Join me in voting Winningham for 18th Legislative District representative.
