Diana Gabaldon, author of the wildly popular “Outlander” series of novels, will be the keynote speaker at Fort Vancouver Regional Library Foundation’s annual Authors & Illustrators Dinner on Nov. 12 at the Hilton Vancouver Washington.

Tickets to the Authors & Illustrators Dinner are $75 each; tables for 10 are available for $750. There are also a limited number of tickets available for a private reception with Gabaldon before the dinner for $50 per person. Tickets can be purchased at www.fvrlf.org or by calling the foundation at 360-906-4700.

Gabaldon has sold more than 26 million books worldwide. Her books have been published into 38 languages in 42 countries. All of the Outlander books have been recognized as New York Times best-sellers.

Attention for the “Outlander” series, which blends romance, science fiction and historical fiction genres, has soared since the television adaptation premiered on the Starz network in August. The television series has been a blockbuster hit for the Starz network, according to a foundation news release.

In 2006, Gabaldon won the Quill Award — beating out novels by George R.R. Martin and Stephen King.
