Police in Corvallis, Ore., arrested a Vancouver man Wednesday as part of an undercover child abuse sting.

Thomas P. Harrington, 59, allegedly started a sexual conversation online with an undercover Corvallis police detective posing as a 14-year-old girl. Harrington sent multiple nude photos purportedly of himself and asked the girl to meet him, according to the Corvallis Police Department.

When Harrington went to meet the 14 year old Wednesday at the Corvallis Public Library, investigators took him into custody.

He was booked into the Benton County Jail on suspicion of first-degree online sexual corruption of a child and luring a minor. His bail was set at $150,000.

Harrington’s is the 13th arrest made since May 2013, when the Corvallis Police Department started an initiative to uncover online child abuse.
