Vancouver police are searching for a man who went missing from his hotel Wednesday afternoon.

Relatives reported Victor Elford, 84, as a missing, endangered person around 1:45 p.m. Elford’s car was still in the parking lot of the hotel in the 9100 block of Northeast Vancouver Mall Drive, so it appears he left on foot.

Elford might be in possession of a firearm, police said.

He’s described as 5 feet 7 inches tall and 150 pounds with gray hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information on Elford’s whereabouts is asked to call 911.
