Clark County deputies responded to two domestic disturbance calls that involved shots fired Wednesday night. No one was injured in either incident.

The first call, reported at 10:09 p.m. at 8601 N.E. 59th Circle in the East Minnehaha neighborhood, involved a fight between a man and his live-in girlfriend, according to Sgt. Fred Neiman.

Ryan A. Flanagan, 23, fired a modified shotgun in anger out of an open window, alarming neighbors, Neiman said.

Flanagan was arrested on suspicion of unlawful discharge of a firearm, reckless endangerment and possession of a dangerous weapon.

About an hour later, deputies responded to a similar call in the Sifton neighborhood.

Brian. A. Charon, 44, fired a handgun in the bedroom during a dispute with his wife at their house, 12512 N.E. 79th St., according to Neiman.

Charon was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic violence harassment.

“These are very highly dangerous, highly volatile situations to respond to,” Neiman said. “It’s a tribute to our local law enforcement that they were able to defuse and resolve the situation, even through arrest, without exposing themselves and neighbors to further threat of injury.”
