A man robbed a Vancouver 7-Eleven early Monday morning while wielding what appeared to be a machete with a serrated edge.

The robbery was reported at 1:11 a.m. at the convenience store, 9701 E. Mill Plain Blvd. The clerk was in the cooler when he heard someone come into the store. When he came out to the front counter, a man was there with a long-bladed weapon, said Vancouver Police Department spokeswoman Kim Kapp. The robber left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Vancouver police weren’t able to find the suspect.
