Someone called 911 this morning and said there was a bomb at the Chase Bank in downtown Vancouver. The report, called in at 11:43 a.m., turned out to be false.

Everyone evacuated the building, 1205 Broadway, and signs were posted saying the bank was closed due to an emergency. Police searched in and around the building, said Vancouver police spokeswoman Kim Kapp.

“We searched and did not locate anything at all,” Kapp said.

The FBI was notified, which is standard protocol when there’s a bomb threat involving a bank.
