Three people were taken to a hospital this morning after a rear-end crash on Northeast Padden Parkway near 78th Street.

The crash was reported at 7:39 a.m. in the 5500 block of Padden Parkway, where 78th Street merges with Padden Parkway, according to a news release from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office. A westbound Chevy SUV was stopped at a red light when a Subaru struck the SUV from behind, the sheriff’s office said.

The driver and passenger of the Subaru, and the driver of the SUV sustained injuries in the crash and were taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, the sheriff’s office said. Their conditions were not available.

The county’s traffic unit is investigating the crash and closed westbound Padden Parkway at Northeast 62nd Avenue. Officials rerouted traffic onto Northeast 88th Street.

Names of those involved in the crash have not been released.
