Two teens hurt in a motorcycle crash near Amboy were looking for each other when they collided head-on around noon Saturday, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

EMTs and deputies responded to a crash Saturday in the 27100 block of Northeast Rotschy Mill Road involving two riders. They found two boys, 15 and 17, suffering from serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Sgt. Alex Schoening said Monday afternoon deputies learned the two knew each other, and were out looking for each other when they collided.

Schoening said neither rider had passengers.

One of the boys was taken by LifeFlight helicopter to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center and the other to a local hospital in an ambulance.

The two were riding off-road bikes and wearing helmets, Schoening said.

He said traffic detectives are still investigating the crash, and no citations have been issued so far.
