The Cowlitz County coroner says a body found floating in the Columbia River at Kalama is that of a Battle Ground man who disappeared last summer.

The Daily News of Longview reported the body was identified Wednesday as Jay Michael Jones, 25. He was last seen June 28 when he reportedly fell out of a boat while fishing.

The coroner says he drowned. Jones was not wearing a life preserver.
