Vancouver man killed in motorcycle crash west of Yale

LONGVIEW — A Vancouver man was killed Sunday in a single-vehicle crash on Lewis River Road west of Yale, according to Cowlitz County Coroner Dana Tucker.

Robert L. Jones, 54, of Vancouver died after he lost control of his motorcycle about 3 p.m., crossed into the southbound lane of Lewis River Road, and collided with the guardrail, a press release states.

He was ejected down an embankment on the south side of the road and died from blunt-force traumatic injuries.
