PORTLAND — Portland police say a man stabbed a police officer and was shot early Sunday in northeast Portland.
The officer and the male suspect were taken to Portland hospitals with injuries not considered life-threatening. Their identities were not released.
It was not clear what led to the incident, and police released few details Sunday morning.
Police say officers approached the man at about 1:41 a.m. and almost immediately reported that an officer had been stabbed and the suspect shot.
