Motorcycle rider recovering from crash

A Vancouver motorcyclist who was seriously injured in a crash on state Highway 503 was recovering Friday in a local hospital. Jor-dan Martell, 23, was listed in satisfactory condition at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center.

Around 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Esther Fierro, 63, of Vancouver, who was driving a Chevrolet Malibu, turned left from the northbound lanes onto Northeast 131st Street and was struck by Martell’s motorcycle, the Washington State Patrol said.

Fierro was transported to Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center with minor injuries and was not listed in the patient directory.
