Clark County will close Northeast 78th Street at Northeast 47th Avenue through the weekend for construction.

The closure will run from 9 p.m. Thursday through 6 a.m. Monday. During the closure, drivers need to use alternate routes such as Northeast Andresen Road, Northeast 63rd Street or 88th Street and Northeast St. Johns Road.

Construction has been ongoing at the intersection since last month, and includes replacing railroad crossings, realigning the entrance to the Public Works Operations Center, adding a traffic signal and building drainage improvements.

Clark County will continue to intermittently closing lanes on Northeast 78th Street. Clark County Public Works encourages drivers to use alternate routes throughout the construction, which will wrap up next month.
