Robbers made off with cash Tuesday from a Vancouver U.S. Bank branch.

The robbery was reported just after 5 p.m. at 8700 E. Mill Plain Blvd., in front of PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. A man used a note to demand cash from a teller and did not display a weapon, according to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian.

The robber was described as a white man in his early 40s wearing a baseball hat, blue and white checkered button-up shirt and blue jeans.

The man ran from the bank and got in a vehicle with another man. Police canvassed the area but found no suspects, Vancouver police Officer Ilia Botvinnik said. Police aren’t releasing the vehicle’s description while they continue investigating.

The pair were also possibly involved in an incident at Riverview Community Bank, 915 MacArthur Blvd. in Vancouver, before the robbery, Botvinnik said. Investigators are gathering surveillance footage.
