“American Idol” contestant Daniel Seavey will perform at a cancer research fundraiser for St. Baldrick’s Foundation from 4 to 5:15 p.m. today at The Quarry Senior Living, 415 S.E. 177th Ave. Seavey will perform three times from 4 to 5:15 p.m.

The fundraiser, from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m., is spearheaded by Cascade Middle School in memory of Grant Jensen, a Cascade seventh-grader who died of cancer in December 2013. Grant would have graduated from eighth grade in June.

Cascade Middle School is joined by The Quarry Senior Living and Glenwood Place Senior Living in its goal of raising $50,000 for cancer research.
