PULLMAN — Washington State University President Elson Floyd is getting a raise.

The WSU Board of Regents approved a 6.9 percent pay hike for Floyd at its meeting last week. Floyd’s annual salary will increase to $775,025. Floyd’s last pay raise was in 2008.

The regents on Friday also approved a $32 million project at the former building that housed the university bookstore. The building had been vacant since the Student Book Corporation moved to a new location seven years ago.

The new structure will include study and social areas as well as a quick-serve restaurant, a fitness center and recreation spaces.
