Nominees for high school spring athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending May 9. Voting will conclude at 8 p.m. Thursday with results published in Friday’s Columbian

MAURO GONZALEZ, WASHOUGAL SOCCER: Gonzalez had a goal and three assists in two wins for the Panthers.

MIKE SPELLACY, BATTLE GROUND BASEBALL: Spellacy went 4 for 6 with four runs, 3 RBI and a home run in two wins for the Tigers.

TAYLOR RAMEY, PRAIRIE SOFTBALL: Ramey went 4 for 7 with 6 RBI and a grand slam in two games for the Falcons.

BRIDGET STANDARD, FORT VANCOUVER GOLF: Standard shot a 3-over-par 39 at The Cedars in a match against Prairie.

ELI WHITMIRE, WOODLAND TRACK AND FIELD: Whitmire won the 100, long jump and triple jump at the Spudder Classic.
