Nominees for high school spring athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending May 16. Voting will conclude at 8 p.m. Thursday with results published in Friday’s Columbian

COLTON ARENDS, LA CENTER SOCCER: Arends scored four goals in three games to lead the Wildcats to the district title.

LINDSAY MACNEIL, COLUMBIA RIVER SOFTBALL: MacNeil went 10 for 11 with a home runs, double and 12 RBI in 3 games last week.

AVERY SCHMIDT, SKYVIEW BASEBALL: Schmidt went 6 for 12 with a double, two runs and an RBI as the Storm reached the state tournament.

MICHAEL SCHMIDT, PRAIRIE BOYS TRACK AND FIELD: Schmidt won both hurdles races at the 3A district meet for the Falcons.

FAITH UDY, WOODLAND GOLF: Udy shot a 1-under-par 36 at Tri-Mountain in match vs. Ridgefield.
