Five undefeated teams claim CCYF age division crowns

Youth football league champions complete unblemished seasons

Clark County Youth Football capped its 33rd season on Saturday with five championship games. Each of the winners completed the season undefeated.

In the eighth-grade division, the Hawks capped an unbeaten season with a 34-16 win over the Tigers.

In the seventh-grade division, the National Division champion Thunder defeated the American Division champion Sharks 33-19.

In the sixth-grade division, the National Division champion Titans beat the American Division champion Hawks 13-7.

In the division for grades 4-5, National Division champion Cardinals Red beat the Rebels 40-7.

In the division for grades 2-3, the Ducks defeated the Raiders 21-12.

Pop Warner playoffs

The Kelso Junior Highlanders and the Portland Steelers will play for the Greater Northwest Conference Pop Warner Junior Pee Wee Division championship.

The championship game is scheduled for 6 p.m. Sunday at District Stadium in Battle Ground. The Junior Pee Wee Division is for players ages 8-11.

The Highlanders beat the Vancouver Warrior Eagles 21-0 in one semifinal on Nov. 1. The Steelers beat the Camas Jets 25-8. The Warrior Eagles and the Jets play for third place at 4 p.m. on Sunday.

The winner of the championship game will advance to a Division 2 regional playoff game. The championship game loser will enter regionals at the Division 3 level. The regional playoffs will be held on Nov. 14 at Oregon State University’s Reser Stadium.

Prior to the Junior Pee Wee games, four Mitey Mites Division (ages 5-7) bowl games will be played at District Stadium. Those games are scheduled for 8 a.m., 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m.

The top two Mitey Mite teams from the Greater Northwest Conference advance to play on Nov. 15 at Reser Stadium in Corvallis, Ore., in regional playoff games.

The second round of the Pacific Northwest Pop Warner regional playoffs will be held on Nov. 21 at Doc Harris Stadium in Camas. Those games will determine who advances to the Pop Warner Super Bowl in Florida.
