Sarah Yang of Camas soccer was voted The Columbian’s high school fall sports athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Nov. 14.
Yang collected 50 percent of the 3,929 votes cast by fans to beat out Brooke Van Sickle of Battle Ground volleyball, who had 34 percent.
Yang scored both of Camas’ goals in the Papermakers’ 2-1 win over Skyline in the state quarterfinals.
The other nominees were Taryn Ries of Ridgefield soccer, Evi Wilson of Columbia River volleyball and Colleen Woods of Heritage swimming.
This is the final athlete of the week selection for the fall season. The first winter sports athlete-of-the-week vote will begin on Dec. 7.
