A man sustained critical injuries early Sunday morning in a three-vehicle crash in the Walnut Grove area.

Kurtis Dean Denham, 44, was traveling south on Northeast Andresen Road when his green Ford pickup struck a northbound truck head-on at about 1:30 a.m. between Northeast 63rd and 78th streets, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

“The impact of the collision caused the northbound vehicle to collide with another (northbound) vehicle, which was traveling alongside,” the press release said.

Denham, who appeared to have caused the crash, was the only person hurt in the crash and was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, according to the sheriff’s office. He was listed in critical condition Sunday evening, according to hospital staff.

The incident is under investigation by the sheriff’s office traffic unit. Traffic in the area was shut down for the investigation.
