Week 7 fall sports athlete of the week nominees

Weekly vote, sponsored by Athletes Corner, continues until Thursday

Here are the nominees for The Columbian fall sports prep athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Oct. 24.

Athletes may win the honor once in during the regular season and cannot be nominated in consecutive weeks.

Voting will continue until 8 p.m. Thursday, with results announced in Friday’s edition of The Columbian.

HANNA EHA, SKYVIEW GIRLS SWIMMING: Eha won the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke at the Southwest Washington Invitational in Longview.

TAYLOR ERICKSON, HOCKINSON VOLLEYBALL: Erickson had 28 kills and 23 digs in two league wins for the Hawks.

NICK NEATHAMER, COLUMBIA RIVER BOYS TENNIS:  Neathamer beat teammate Nathan Behrens 6-3, 6-4 to win the 3A district singles championship.

EMILY PHELPS, FORT VANCOUVER GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY: Phelps led a 1-2 Fort freshman finish at the 3A district meet, winning in 18:12.

CLAYTON RAJEWICH, KING’S WAY CHRISTIAN GOLF: Rajewich shot a 1-over 145 for 36 holes to place second in the 1A district tournament.
