Here are the nominees for The Columbian prep football player of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Sept. 6.

Voting will continue until 8 p.m. Tuesday, with results announced in Wednesday’s edition of The Columbian.

JARED BENTLEY, CAMAS: Bentley caught eight passes for 162 yards and two touchdowns in the Papermakers’ win over Chiawana.

PRESTON JONES, MOUNTAIN VIEW: Jones rushed for 131 yards on 19 carries and one touchdown and he had an 80-yard kickoff return for a TD in the Thunder’s win over Auburn.

JORDAN LAWSON, UNION: Lawson completed 15 of 20 passes for 269 yards and six touchdowns in the Titans’ win over Federal Way

MARQUIS SAMPSON, EVERGREEN: Sampson rushed for 142 yards on 15 carries and one touchdown and had a 34-yard reception in the Plainsmen’s win over Eisenhower.

GUNNER TALKINGTON, BATTLE GROUND: Talkington completed 22 of 26 passes for 259 yards and two touchdowns in the Tigers’ win over Kent-Meridian.
